In 1837, Wilhelm Jordan, together with two fellow comb-makers, established a modest comb-making business in the city centre of Christiania, now known as Oslo, Norway. This small venture has since evolved into one of Europe's leading brush factories - Jordan.

With a strong heritage and experience in brush making, Jordan has continued to evolve its business over the decades. Today, Jordan is divided into three different areas: Oral care, Home care, and House care. As a Scandinavian brand, Jordan has been caring for people's teeth since 1927, making it a market leader on toothbrushes, dental floss, and dental sticks in Scandinavia, with a worldwide presence in over 50 global markets.

Recognizing our shared responsibility to care for both people and the planet, Jordan has developed the Green Clean toothbrush range, which focuses on the careful use of resources without compromising the quality of oral care.

The Green Clean toothbrush is made with 90% recycled materials, with the handle composed of 100% recycled plastic from sources such as yoghurt, margarine, and food tubs. The remaining 10% of the toothbrush, the bristles, are 100% bio-based, made from nylon derived from castor oil, a natural and renewable resource. The bristles are also free of colorants.

By using reclaimed materials, Jordan is maintaining the value of these resources for as long as possible, contributing to a circular economy and minimizing waste and resource use. The paper container for the Green Clean toothbrush is made from scrap paper and unwanted commercial boxes, salvaging these materials into a protective and useful packaging solution.

The Green Clean toothbrush is designed with both the user and the environment in mind. It is ergonomic and efficient, with a narrow, soft brush that allows for easy access to hard-to-reach areas, while its neutral taste provides a comfortable brushing experience. The eco-friendly packaging is made entirely from recycled paper fibres, further reducing the environmental impact.

As a testament to its sustainability and innovation, the Jordan Green Clean toothbrush was awarded a sustainability award at the IdentiPlast in March 2019. By using recycled materials and embracing a circular economy approach, Jordan is helping to save the planet while providing high-quality oral care products to its customers.
